The Centre invites applications from eligible candidates for temporary appointment of one Programme Coordinator, one Project Assistant and one Junior Assistant. The last date for submission of applications is December 15, 2010. Detailed eligibility conditions and application procedure is given below:
Post 1: Programme Coordinator
The appointment will be of a purely contractual nature and will be for a period of six months at a consolidated honorarium of 25,000 per month and may be continued further on satisfactory performance on same terms and conditions depending upon the requirement of the Centre.
Candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in science and must have a proven track record in science communication as well as experience in organizing scientific events like conferences, quizes etc. The candidate should also have experience in using electric media (especially IT) for science education and communication.
Post 2: Project Assistant
The appointment will be of a purely contractual nature and will be for a period of six months at a consolidated honorarium of 12,000 per month and may be continued further on satisfactory performance on same terms and conditions depending upon the requirement of the Centre.
The candidates should have a Masters degree in Science with at least three years experience in science education and communication or web designing, management of online discussion groups/bulletin boards etc.
Post 3: Junior Assistant
The appointment will be as per University of Delhi rules on contract at a consolidated salary of 10,500 per month.
Essential:
Graduate from a recognized university.
Having a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English through computer.
Desirable:
1. Diploma in Office Management and Secretarial practice
Note:
1. The incumbent is expected to work under the close supervision of the Director and should possess an aptitude for drafting/noting in English, office procedures, Data processing, accounts etc.
2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/typing test.
Candidates who qualify the written test/typing test will be interviewed.
